About Your Reservation
Can I pay for my stay with VACAF vouchers, bank checks, ANCV holiday vouchers (paper), or Chèque Connect?
Yes. You must go through the reservation assistance service by email at reservations.indiv@ternelia.com or by phone at +33 4 50 68 65 27 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings only). If you choose a “Non-cancellable, non-refundable” (NANR) rate, you have 7 calendar days from your booking to submit your payment to confirm your reservation.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets (even small ones) are not allowed in the hotel.
Will there be entertainment during my stay?
Only during the July and August school holidays: at least one aperitif concert per week, karaoke evenings, small tourist train rides, and guided walking tours.
Are there kids’ clubs?
No. Hotel Le Vent du Large has not offered kids’ clubs since 2018.
Is housekeeping done every day?
Housekeeping is done only at the end of your stay. For stays of 7 days, a mid-stay cleaning is provided, with towel changes but no bed linen change.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
No, the rooms are not equipped with air conditioning.
Do the rooms have a fridge?
No, rooms do not have fridges. If you need to store medication, it can be kept in a fridge managed by the reception and/or restaurant.
Is access to the wellness area free?
No, access is charged €10 per person for 1 hour, limited to 5 people at a time.
What are the cancellation conditions?
To cancel without fees, you must have booked the “Flex” rate and cancel more than 48 hours before your stay. Otherwise, fees apply (see our general terms and conditions of sale).
About Your Arrival
What time can we check in?
Check-in is from 5:00 PM. The reception is open until 7:00 PM.
What if we arrive after reception closes?
If you arrive after 7:00 PM, contact reception by phone or email at accueil.ventdularge@ternelia.com. They will send instructions for retrieving your key from a secure external safe.
How do we get to the hotel from the train station?
The closest station is Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, about 30 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by bus (Gillobus), or 5 minutes by taxi (advance booking recommended).
What parking options are nearby? Are they free?
Parking in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie can be difficult during peak periods. The hotel has a private parking lot with about 12 spaces, free of charge (first-come, first-served). Free street and nearby parking is also available.
Is there secure motorcycle parking?
No, but motorbikes can park safely on-site.
Is there secure bicycle storage?
Yes, ask at reception.
Can we charge an electric vehicle?

Car: No, nearest charging station is 2.4 km away.

What is the room like? What are its amenities and location?
You select a room type during booking. Exact floor and view are not guaranteed but you can note preferences during booking. Only accessible rooms (PMR) have guaranteed specifications.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, beds are made on arrival, and towels are provided (small and large). Exceptions apply for youth groups under 18 years old.
What time is breakfast?
7:30 AM – 10:00 AM. If not included in your package, it can be booked on-site for €13 per person (some periods excluded, check with reception: accueil.ventdularge@ternelia.com).
What time are lunch and dinner?
Lunch: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Dinner: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
If not included, meals can be added on-site for €25 per person (excluding drinks). Some periods may vary (contact reception).

What time must we check out?
Rooms must be vacated by 10:00 AM. If leaving before reception opens, leave the key on your door.
